Continued the house hunt yesterday with Jen and looked at another 8 properties. 16 in total over two days and started to loose hope. The biggest problem is the terminology diffirences. Cluster here = Townhouse back home. Terrace house = A narrow multi story house between two other. Corner Terrace = House with only one wall shared with another. And then finally yesterday afternoon, Eureka, "Bungalow" = House back home. No Shared walls with a garden.
Submitted a Letter of Intent today so lets hold thumbs.
Dashed of to the Ministry of Labour this morning with an appointment at 08h15. Imagine that here in Singapore where most businesses start between 11h00 - 12h00. Very easy and pleasant experience. Arrive and scan document, sit for a few minutes until your name pops up on a big TV and proceed to the consultant. Present letter, passport and photo and get electronic fingerprints taken. Check that your data is correct, get letter stamped and within 10 minutes, job done.
Work Permit will be ready for collection in 5 days. Amazing.
