A Visit to Singapore in a Nutshell

I decided to put together a condensed version of what you can look forward to when you visit Singapore. As I said before it is a very central country so lots of stop overs are possible to make your holiday even more cost effective and adventurous. The information is based on what we have done so far and also plan to do on our list of interesting places. You can get more information on the websites and also on my map on the blog.

Obviously our friends and family have the added benefit of staying at the "world famous" Cilliers Bungalow for a nickel and a dime. Full writeup to follow once it is up and running in September and off course your entertainment include the renowned personal chef and funny man the host himself, Eviltwin. Please remember to bring along some good South African Dry white wine to ensure you get the maximum entertainment. So here goes not in any particular order;

World class shopping and dining experience as discussed in previous post and more to come.

Visit China Town and Little India (Food and Cheaper Shopping)

A must visit to the awesome Marina Bay Sands (Hotel, Shopping and Casino)

Take a ride on the worlds Largest Observation Wheel, The Singapore Flyer

This is a 2 day visit at least and include things like A Butterfly Park, Insect Kingdom, Numerous Thrilling Rides, Tiger Sky Tower, Mind blowing Cable Car Ride, Underwater World, Restaurants & Bars, Beaches, Theaters, Museums, Worlds Largest Wind Tunnel for indoor Skydiving and loads more to mention. You can also shoot across by mini train to Singapore's Largest Retail and Lifestyle destination, Vivo City.

For the night time thrill seekers you can visit Clarke and Robertson Quay for dining and clubbing until the early hours of the morning.

A must visit to the famous Funan, 6 storey Digital Mall. The 6th floor is open 24 hours a day if you can not sleep.

Museums, Parks, River Cruises, Spa's, beaches and shows that will blow your mind.

Take a drive around the Singapore F1 Track or be a pilot for a day in the world class Flight Simulator.

All this and much more in a very safe, clean exhilarating city with a modern and efficient transport infrastructure and excellent weather. Do not visit from November to January. It is monsoon and lots of rain according to the locals.

Hell, it sound like a work for the Singapore Tourism Board.

Honestly, you have to have this visit on your Bucket List. Do not leave without having the famous Chilli Crab and visit as many Food Courts and Hawkers Centers as possible to enjoy all the local food Singaporean's love.

If this post does not entice you, nothing will.

  1. Hello Eviltwin.

    I thought I was Singapore's only expat househusband!
    It's good to know I am not the only househusband doing the washing and ironing.
